Welcome to Cookie Camp!! In this 2 day event we will dive into all things sugar cookie. . . . . we will start at the very beginning of making cookies all the way to the finished, and frozen end : )

S*A*T*U*R*D*A*Y*

Dough! I will explain all the ingredients and make the dough so you can see my whole process. From gathering my ingredients, to making the dough and rolling it for ready use. I will also be baking cookies multiple ways (on parchment, on a perforated silicone mat, on the bare cookie sheet. . . . . in a standard oven and convection) so you can see how the same dough bakes to different tasting and visual results. Recipe and variation will be provided

Royal Icing! I will explain all the ingredients and make the royal icing so you can see my whole process. We will have a hands-on portion of this session for you to "feel" the different consistencies and we will color and bag your icing - in preparation for our decorating session.

Over the Top! We will talk about what can go "on top" of your cookies. . . . I will demonstrate how to use the airbrush to add "background" and details on your cookies then you will have the opportunity to try for yourself!! I will also explain the steps and guide us step by step through make royal icing transfers - they are a great addition to our cookies and can be an absolute time saver!! And as a extra bonus how to make molded details using royal icing and fondant for an extra wow factor.

Making the Magic! We will talk about how to plan a cohesive set of cookies, pull everything together that we have learned and decorate a set of coordinated Christmas Cookies. I will also show how to "work smarter, not harder" by working earlier and freezing your cookies for your holiday events.

Over the course of the weekend, there will be lots of tasting and trying new ideas, tools, techniques and equipment.

Saturday, November 7th & Sunday, November 8th: 9:00am - 5:00pm. We will break for lunch midday. I will have light snacks and drinks available but recommend bringing a lunch both days. An email will be sent to you earlier in the week of the Camp Weekend with logistic details (where to park, what to wear, etc) and a "Cookie Camp" Workbook will provided during camp with all the recipes, tip and links for the tools and supplies. I will have some items in stock and available for purchase. I will provide a preview list to all attendees.
